If I Didn't Have Bad Luck, I'd Have No Luck At All
Monday: I moved all my business records to the computer as advised by my accountant. Last night after closing, when working on invoices needed for today's tax payment, everything disappeared from the screen. One second it was there and the next second, it was gone. Vanished! I re-entered three months worth of invoices again and then printer refused to work. Please, can I go back to hard copy? Halfway through the power went off for two hours so I had to reset everything. Maybe I can catch up on my sleep tonight. Wednesday: I went to a casino this evening and played a nickel slot machine. The lady sitting next to me hit a jackpot. I moved to a penny machine since all the luck seemed to be gone from nickel machine area. The person next to me hit it big. Then I tried quarters. Sure enough, the fellow on the next stool won $1,100.00. I must bring good luck to everyone to offset my bad luck. If you ever see me there, be sure to sit next to me. Thursday: Carrying groceries into the house, one bag slipped and fell. The one that had eggs and a jar of pickles in it. Luckily the pickle jar didn't break. It hit my bunion on the way down and rolled away. The eggs are another story. Granny Marge has published two humor books and just turned 62 this past May.
