Presentations to the American People
When giving a presentation to the American people it is important to talk with conviction and strength of character. Anything less is unworthy of such a great nation and its people. We live in the greatest nation in the history of mankind and it is unfortunate that those who were in charge often talk without conviction. Our current president seems to do a pretty good job when he is talking directly to the American people. But not all of our leadership in the various agencies, the Senate or the Congress can say the same thing. All too often we see body language that does not complement the words that are spoken. The podium pusher will sometimes use words that say nothing and obviously words that they do not even believe themselves. Some say that the American people have surrendered their minds to the television set and can be led to believe just about anything. This may be true in some regards, but when it comes to conviction and strength of character the American people are extremely good judges. If you are going to present something to the American people you must believe in what you're saying and say it with conviction. The American people deserve at least that much and this is why I have bought a Nurf Football to throw at the television set when the morons start talking and the remote control is too far away. You people need to know that if you don't have strength of character you have a football being thrown at your head made out of rubbery foam. Consider all this in 2006.
