Godliness is Profitable in All Things
Godliness is profitable in every area of your life. Learn how to work the laws of prosperity and increase with the increase of God. The apostle Paul told Timothy, "Bodily exercise profits a little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come" (1 Timothy 4:8). Profitability is a new concept for many Christians as it pertains to spirituality. During the Dark Ages the Roman Church taught the followers of Christ that it was spiritual to take a vow of poverty. Nothing is further from the truth! You can do more when you have something than if you are without. When you are without yourself you cannot think about your neighbor because you are too busy trying to survive yourself. Once however you have attained a degree of personal well-being and financial wherewithal you are able to look out into the world and begin to help others. Therefore we first must uproot a poverty mentality. Religiosity wants you to be bound in poverty. God's Presence however brings divine prosperity. As long as the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom, the LORD blessed Obededom and all his household (2 Samuel 6:11). The ark of the Lord is symbolic of the Presence of the Holy Spirit in we who believe in Christ today. Therefore the more of God's Presence we get, the more we shall prosper in every area of our lives. The Presence of God in us can be stirred, increased and brought upon us by worship and prayer. "Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his Presence with singing (Psalm 100:2). The path leading to the abundant life in Jesus Christ begins when you live in the Presence of the Lord. Most people merely visit the house of the Lord for an hour a week and therefore know little about God's marvelous Presence. When we invite our heavenly Father into our daily lives to dwell among us, live within us and direct our business then joy full of glory floods our soul. In the presence of the Lord is fulness of joy; at His right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11). Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven (Mark 16:19). When we cultivate a deep relationship with our heavenly Father, welcome the Holy Spirit to live big in us, and walk daily in the Presence of the Lord - supernatural blessings begin to flow. How do I know? Because I have proven God time and time again throughout the nations of the world where I have been. In every place, among every people, the laws of prosperity work for those who dare to believe and are bold enough to work them. Our God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). When I entered Indonesia, a land predominately inhabited by Muslims, I saw prosperity because I was bold enough to believe for breakthroughs, influence and increase. While my missionary friends had been there for four months and quickly came under fear, intimidation and the oppression of the people, I entered in boldly and believed God for greatness. As I ministered to the Lord in the morning during my hour of prayer, the Holy Spirit said, "I want you on the radio today!" I said "OK Lord " and proceeded to phone radio stations that day. My unbelieving believer friends who had been there far longer than I immediately doubted and questioned my ability. Nevertheless I proceeded in full assurance of faith like a child doubting nothing I had heard from the Lord. By that evening I was at Sport FM in Jakarta (a secular well known radio station) doing a radio broadcast speaking to the wonderful people of Indonesia. As for my missionary friends, they remained bound in their compound in fear hiding behind security measures such as bars, gates and were locked in being precautious. It is amazing to see how we both worship and pray to the same God, but live extraordinarily different lives. Why is that? Because one person believed God's Word and heard His Spirit and was quick to obey. The others did not. Here are 7 secrets to break out of bondage and begin to prosper in the earth. 1. Get rid of a poverty mentality. Jesus had a treasurer named Judas who was stealing money from the bag. You only have a treasurer when there is an over abundance of cash. If Judas could have been stealing without anybody knowing about it, surely there was a surplus of funds. Jesus came to give us life more abundantly (John 10:10). God has gold streets in heaven (Revelation 21:21) and He will teach you how to profit and which way to go on earth if you let Him (Isaiah 48:17). In the beginning, God told Adam where the gold was and He said it was good (Genesis 2:10-12). 2. Believe the Word of the Lord. Read and believe the written Word of God. God is a rewarder, but you first must believe in Him (Hebrews 11:6). Without faith it is impossible to please God. Only believe and you will see the glory of God (John 11:40). Exercise your faith showing you believe by being a doer of the Word (James 1:23). Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). 3. Welcome the Presence of the Holy Spirit. Prayer and worship brings the sweet rich Presence of the Holy Spirit upon you. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide (John 16:12-13). God has an inheritance and personal promised land for you (Acts 20:32). It will take the Holy Spirit to show you what God has for you and how to get there. Abraham had to search for a land God would show him, inwardly feeling for it. So too must you with the help of the Holy Spirit. 4. Seek divine direction before moving. Seek God for specific direction in regard to your circumstance. Seek and you will find (Matthew 7:7). The Holy Spirit will provide you wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17-18). The Holy Spirit speaks daily to those who have ears to hear (Hebrews 3:7-8). The greatest key to prosperity is listening. “Take heed to what you hear and more shall be given you” (Mark 4:24). The rhema words that come to your spirit by the Holy Spirit must be hearkened to and acted upon (Romans 8:16). God told Elijah where to go and with whom to associate in a time of famine (1 Kings 17). Jesus told Peter where to get money to pay his taxes (Matthew 17:27). 5. Boldly obey what the Holy Spirit gives you! The righteous are bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1). There can be no liberation without boldness. Believing is not enough. You must boldly move on what God gives you. Be filled with the Holy Ghost and boldness (Acts 4:31). Fear cripples you and keeps you from God’s best for your life. Be bold and confident in Christ in you the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). As you do, walk by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The working of miracles requires work on your part as you co-labor with God for your good. 6.Use your God-given gifts, talents and abilities. The Father of lights has bestowed to you gifts, talents and abilities (James 1:17). Use them wholeheartedly. Show forth the praises of God by utilizing the many gifts, talents and abilities He has graciously given you (Ephesians 2:10). You are the workmanship of the Creator. So work your gifts and create your world. 7. Move upon the dreams and visions God gives you. The Holy Spirit gives dreams and visions (Acts 2:17). Martin Luther King had a dream. The poorest person in the world is not the person with no money, it is the person without a dream. Get a reason and purpose for which to live. Than hold fast to your purpose and don’t deviate from it. Live wholeheartedly for the dream God gave you and work out what He works in you (Philippians 2:12-13). As you do, you shall progressively create your world, enter your divine inheritance and push forth into your promised land. Wherever the souls of your feet tread God promises to give it to you (Joshua 1). Be bold and very courageous, knowing that as you hearken to God’s Word and work it in your life prosperity shall saturate your life (Joshua 1:8). Prosperity begins in your heart and soul (3 John 1:2), after which it exudes outwardly into your daily life and work. Enjoy the journey, letting patience have its perfect work.
